BeThesaurus 1.1

A new biological name and mark-up service is available: BeThesaurus (for Beta Thesaurus) offering access to user proposed identifiers and names from within ProTag.

ProML 1.0

The first version of ProML (the Protein Markup Language) is released and available from http://schemas.bio.ifi.lmu.de/2005/proml/.

ProTag 1.1

In ProTag 1.1 the following changes were applied:

  • ProTag now supports PowerPoint (XP and 2003).
  • Scripts for import and export of synonym lists into and from the database are introduced.
  • A (Javadoc) documentation is offered.
  • The WSDL documents contain documentation elements.
  • BeThesaurus (see corresponding blog entry) was integrated in ProTag, but is disabled per default. To enable it, go to Configure/Services.

There also a few minor bug fixes:

  • Identifiers with only two characters weren't recognized in the past versions.
  • The combo boxes in the Propose dialog contain duplicate entries under circum instances.
  • A null list from listDatabases or listOrganisms caused ProTag to throw an exception.
