ProThesaurus-Wiki adds GO annotations and Google search

The ProThesaurus-Wiki now supports GO annotations and searching for synonyms (of protein names) within Google, PubMed and the ProThesaurus-Wiki itself. With the new release the synonym lists of all organisms and for all databases were also updated.

BioDOM 1.0 released

The University of Bielefeld released the first version of BioDOM, "a JAVA library for converting native non-XML output from various bioinformatics tools to XML formats that can be validated against XML schemas." It is licensed under Apache License 2.0. BioDOM is partly based on BioTypes.

BioTypes 1.1 released

The BioSchemas project released the version 1.1 of BioTypes. The new release contains minor improvements, e.g. description of RNA secondary structure.
